Sheffield Walking Tours

Marcus Newton

Sheffield is my home city, where I have lived, studied at Sheffield Hallam University and worked. I share my passion for my home city with you by introducing you to the many hidden gems of England’s greenest City. I enjoy walking and have travelled extensively in Europe. I am keen to present Sheffield as a positive and upbeat destination for visitors, whether for leisure, work or study. I work closely with Sheffield Business Improvement District and Sheffield City Council City Centre Management, Welcome to Sheffield and The Outdoor City initiative to deliver my walking tours. The world renown Company of Cutlers of Hallam have granted me permission to trade as Sheffield City Walking Tours.  I have urequirements.up to date public liability insurance. I am supported by Sheffield City Council and Sheffield BID. I am actively involved with the Sheffield Hallam University Venture Matrix programme.

Since I started my business in 2013, I have provided tours to the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University, University of East Anglia, U3A, Google, National Trust for Scotland, Friends of Stockport Plaza, A Plus Engish, DocFest, Shefest, SSAB Swedish Steel, Hadee, Red Pepper Events, Barnes Coaches, Wiseguides UK, JG Theatre Tours, Harthill School, York Fine Arts, South West Tours, Vulcan Rotary Club, NHS, Manchester University, The Environment Agency, SCPR, The Womens Institute, Serve Afganistan, International Translators Institute and Crisis South Yorkshire.
