Terms & Conditions

Please note all tours operate subject to the following terms and conditions.

All tours operate subject to my availability. I reserve the right to cancel a tour in advance or on the day of a tour if 1) I consider the prevailing weather conditions unsuitable, 2) I consider it unsafe to operate, 3) I am unable to operate due to circumstances beyond my control and 4) When on occasion domestic committment, travel disruption, illness, holidays or circumstances beyond my control prevent me from operating. I do not accept any personal or financial liability should any of my tours not operate.

There is no mimimum number requirement for my morning Tuesday to Saturday City centre walking tour.

On all tours, no first aid provision is available.

On all tours, it is the responsibility of participants to descide as to their suitability to participate.

The following terms and conditions relate to the morning City centre tour route and bespoke walking tour routes (A risk assessment of the morning City centre walking tour route is available on request. For bespoke tours a risk assessment of the route can also be provided on request).

The morning City centre walking tour requires walking continously for approximately 90 minutes.on a variety of footpath and road surfaces, as noted below.

Whilst participating in the morning City centre walking tour a variety of footpath and road surfaces (for example flag stones, cobles, block pavers and tarmac/asphalt), supertram tracks, kerbsides and street furniture are encountered. On occasion the aforementioned surfaces may be slippery due to prevailing weather conditions, leaves, litter, dirt or moss/algae. On occasion the aforementioned surfaces may be in a poor condition with uneven, loose or protruding surfaces. On all tours, participants are responsible for ensuring they take care and attention with regard to their health and safety when encountering the aforementioned surfaces.

On all tours participants are responsible for ensuring that they take care and attention with regard to their health and safety when encountering the aforementioned surfaces, countryside, woodland and parkland paths, tracks and roads, crossing bridges, railway tracks, supertram tracks or walking up or down stairs, escalators or using elevators; and climbing over styles or through gates or over steams, stepping stones or over cattle grids

On the morning City centre walking tour, it is the responsibility of participants to ensure that they wear clothing, sun protection and footwear appropriate to the prevailing weather conditions and suitable for walking on the aforementioned surfaces.

On bespoke tours, it is the responsibility of particpants to wear clothing, sun protection and footwear appropriate to the prevailing weather conditions and suittable for the time and distance of tour ; and suitable for the surfaces and topography of the tour route requested by the particpants.

On all tours, participants are responsible for the cost of any food or drink they wish to purchase whilst participating.

On bespoke tours, participants are respinsible for the cost of any transport used during the tour and for other tour related costs such as entrance to museums, attractions, events, places of entertaiment or guest speakers.

On all tours, children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Financial terms and conditions

For both private and commercial clients, if I arrange a bespoke walking tour, the cost of any associated travel or entrance fees is not included in my charges and is at you or the people you have arranged for me to take on the tour, own expense.

Payment by private clients

All private client tours must be paid for at the start of the tour with cash UK GBP Pounds Sterling.

Payment by commercial clients

Payment by cheque

Subject to my discretion, commercial clients may by prior written agreement pay by UK GBP Pounds Sterling cheque drawn on a London UK Clearing Bank. I will give you or your authorised representative a paper invoice on the day of your tour and you or your authorised representive are responsible for arranging payment within 30 days of the date shown on my invoice, in line with my payment of invoice terms.

Payment by BACs

Subject to my discretion I may by prior written agreement accept payment from commercial clients by UK GBP Pound Sterling  BACS transfer from a London UK Clearing Bank. I will give you the organiser or your authorised representative a paper invoice on the day of your tour, unless.you request a PDF emailed invoice or a paper invoice to be mailed to your finance department. Please note all invoices are requiref to be paid within 30 days of the date shown on my invoice, in line with payment of invoice terms noted below.

Payment of invoice terms

Payment is due upon delivery and I reserve the right to charge interest if an invoice is not paid in full within 30 days. As I am providing a service to you as you are a commercial client I am entitled to charge you interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 plus a fixed sum under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 as amended and supplemented by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2002.
